We now have video evidence of why no NFL team was willing to sign Odell Beckham Jr. for the postseason. Dallas, New York, Los Angeles, etc. all passed the mercury wide receiver. Which team would ever sign him after such deplorable behavior? Being removed from a plane crosses the line of human decency, and OBJ got his just desserts.
For context, if you didn’t read my rants about OBJ during his promotion, that was sarcasm. We know why Beckham isn’t on the list, but first, here’s footage of him being escorted off an American Airlines flight.
As far as ugly incidents caught on body cameras, that’s not exactly glamorous content. The worst part is when Beckham appears to be talking shit to angry passengers — he gets out because OBJ refused to put his seatbelt on.
While it’s legitimate behavior and not something teams want in a locker room, if he was sane and willing, Jerry Jones or another owner would have happily brought OBJ with him, regardless of being a jerk. Organizations are willing to overlook all types of behavior—criminal and noncriminal—when the reward outweighs the risk.

Considering Beckham’s refusal to practice in meetings with prospective employers and the red flags Dallas flew after his physical exam, applicants needed only the smallest of reasons to pass. It’s not like he’s ever endeared himself to teammates before, but we knew that.
I stopped writing about Beckham during the season because it was clear we wouldn’t see him on the field in 2022 and honestly the only impetus for writing this is basically an ‘I told you so ‘ to all outlets who covered the dumb Beckham Sweepstakes at length.
So, um, yeah, I told you.
